ESS!!

A few months ago, I’ve helped my neighbor with her at-home rehab from her broken leg and applied what I’ve been learning during PT shadowing… that experience involved me going over to their house in the mornings… and to see her now independently walking again is cuh-razy!!

Now my current ESS/PT application goes towards my lil bro.  My ESS classes are helpin’ me help my lil bro deal with recovery from his broken wrist… oh exercise psychology… mind you he is one hell of an active kid.. boxing, biking, running, never stops moving… til now. Recovering from injury is more than a physical process, it is also a great deal psychological.  He has barely hit a week and still far from rehab because all it is now is just allowing time for himself to heal.  It’s a rough road because it’s hard to remain patient and vigilant especially if you go from completely active and athletic to limited.  I’m sure everyone who’s dealt with injury out there can relate…

Not saying I’m happy with the circumstances of this situation, cause it truly does suck, especially at this point in time for him…  Overall I say he’s doin’ well thus far.  It’s just kinda crazy and exciting how I’m applying what I’ve been learning these past few years. & it’s making me look down the road that one day I’ll be working with the mindset of a PT…  I find it a beautiful thing to see people, especially loved ones, progress through an injury, healing, and rehab. The mindset of healing & rehab is growing on me…
